Imran de Roode
Imran de Roode was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He has been entrepreneur for 20 years. His Malaysian-based company Fullcontact Network provides business consultancy and ICT services to European clients since 1995. Since 2007 he spent most of his time in Madrid, studying the history of Al-Andalus and the Spanish language. In 2011 he established a company in Madrid, dedicated to business excursions in Al-Andalus. He brought together a team of specialists in the fields of Islamic Tourism and Al-Andalus, and more generally on the history of the muslim world. Imran studied International Tourism Management at the Universitat de Lleida and holds a title in the Spanish language issued by Escuela Oficial de Idiomas in Madrid. He is also a proficient speaker in English and Dutch and is modestly proficient in Bahasa Melayu, French and German.

Fariz Ghafar
Fariz Ghafar was born and raised in Malaysia. Fariz received his Bachelor in Business Studies from the International University of Malaya - Wales (IUMW). As part of a working group on Islamic Finance, he visited Madrid and Granada, Spain. There he learned about halal tourism and the “hidden” history of 800 years of Islamic presence in Europe. Fariz believes that Malaysians should be able to experience the heritage of Al-Andalus in a way that is most comfortable for them. He enjoys being part of a cross-cultural service that combines leisure, entertainment and the sharing of valuable stories. As a Marketing Director, he is tasked with developing the Malaysian market.

Karen Dabrowska
Karen Dabrowska is a London-based freelance journalist focusing on Middle Eastern and Islamic Affairs. She is currently working on a second edition of the Bradt Travel Guide to Iraq and contributes articles on tourism and culture to Middle East Magazine and other English language publications dealing with the Middle East. Previously she worked as assistant editor of Islamic Tourism Magazine.

Naima Anahnah
Naima Anahnah, lecturer and researcher in Arab & Islamic Studies. As an arabic philologist she is specialized in the study of Documentary Heritage, Architecture, Archeology and monuments of Al-Andalus, in particular the Alhambra, Arabic manuscripts, Arabic epigraphy and calligraphy.She is a frequent speaker in international conferences on topics related to Al-Andalus. As an independent researcher she has been serving various public and private institutions, such as universities and government-linked companies. She has participated in several projects, such as the epigraphic corpus of the Alhambra and the Generalife (EEA-CSIC) with the support of the Junta of Andalucia, as well as the cataloguing of Arabic, Hebrew and Aljamiados Manuscripts (ILCMOP-CSIC).
