ITINERARY

Day 1- Madrid
Upon arrival at Madrid, you will be welcomed by our tour leader. After a brief introduction you will travel to Córdoba. On the way you will stop by at the ancient walled city of Toledo, Spain's capital until the Arabs chose Seville. While the journey continues to Córdoba you may enjoy the beautiful sceneries of Castilla La-Mancha, a region famous for its wheat cultivation, grape vines and olive trees. No wonder this is the land of Don Quijote, one of the world´s most famous novels. Upon arrival in Córdoba, we check in at the accommodation and refreshen ourselves. Once this beautiful city was the world's most populous and an intellectual center of the Caliphate. However, after the defeat of the muslims it never recovered its population. We will visit its ancient medina with an expert guide to learn about its amazing history. We end the day with a delicious dinner.

Day 2- Granada
After breakfast you will visit the Grand Mosque, built by Abd al-Rahman I. It is regarded as one of the most accomplished monuments of architecture in Al-Andalus. You will also visit the ancient Moorish bridge and the Royal Hammam. Lunch. In the afternoon you will be transported to Granada. There you will visit the Albaycin Al-Kasbah, the city´s first muslim settlement with its typical Carmen houses and the Masjid of Granada. You may enjoy an excellent panoramic view of the Alhambra, an amazing preview of what you´re going to see the next day. Dinner. Transport to hotel.

Day 3- Córdoba
Today you will visit the world´s most visited museum/monument: the Alhambra. A masterpiece of Arabic architecture consisting of fortresses, palaces, gardens and water. You will be overwhelmed by the fascinating details: interlocking glazed tiles in deep reds, blacks and greens, Quranic citations, rich poetry and the central role of clean water. A city by itself, it's a huge site but don't worry: our expert guide will provide ample background information. A delicious dinner will be awaiting us on the way back. Afterwards you will be transported to your hotel in Granada. At night you may explore the city of Granada on your own, or enjoy a shopping trip.

Day 4- Madrid
Today we return to Madrid. Once arrived and checked in at your accommodation you may have the opportunity to refresh yourself and have a rest. During a guided tour in the afternoon you will learn about the history of Madrid, especially during the muslim era. We will also pass by shops with delicious local delicacies, of course 100% halal. Shopping tour. Dinner.

Day 5- Madrid
Breakfast. Free time. Transport to airport.
